Quality of teachers and speakers

Since 1668

In 1668 the doctor, Herman Boerhaave, began teaching at the bedside of a patient in Leiden. His own practice was central in all his lessons and the quality was unrivalled. Participants came from far and wide to follow his classes. He is still known worldwide as the teacher of Europe and more than 200 teachers and speakers continue his work at Boerhaave Continuing Medical Education. Their scientific knowledge is of the highest standard and they, just like Boerhaave, continue to make clear links between theory and medical practice.
